Why Senior Pastors Have A Love/Hate Relationship With Small Group Ministries

It is often said that the senior pastor is the most important person in any small group ministry. Yet, the senior pastor may not be as supportive of small groups as we would like. So what do we need to understand about the role of the senior pastor, and the relationship between the groups point leader and the senior pastor?

In this Group Talk, Bill Search discusses steps you can take to lead-up well so that your groups’ ministry and your church will flourish.

Bill is the lead pastor of Rolling Hills Christian Church in El Dorado Hills, CA since 2012. Prior to that, Bill was a small groups pastor at Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, KY. For years, Bill has been one of the most influential voices in small groups ministries and wrote, “Simple Small Groups” which discusses the three essential elements of any small groups ministry.
