The Lobby Gathering
Rancho Capistrano Retreat Center
29251 Camino Capistrano, San Juan Capistrano, California, United States
03/12/2019 at 12:00:00am
We've all been to church conferences or seminars where great speakers dispense great information. But we have noticed that most of the practical learnings and best practices are shared "in the lobby" with other Small Group Ministry Leaders like yourself. It's in the Lobby that you can engage in an in-depth conversation about real-life issues in your Small Group Ministry. The 2019 Small Group Network Lobby So Cal will be intentionally facilitating these types of interactions.
Whether you consider yourself a novice or an author, a guru or just the person in charge of grouplife at your church, you will have an equal voice in each and every circle of conversation.
The Small Group Network is gathering only the sharpest, brightest and most innovative Small Group practitioners from around the world for the purpose of exchanging ministry strategies, learnings and best practices in a peer-to-peer environment.
As a take away, you will receive an electronic copy of every person's "best practice" resource.
Pricing includes lodging, some meals, and is based on double occupancy. Roommates will be assigned.
Cancellation Policy: Due to costs we incur when you register, each cancelled registration will be charged a processing fee of $50 per person. Refunds will be honored through February 17, 2019 (4:00 pm PST). No refunds after this date and time.

“If it weren't for the leaders God placed in my life, I would not be able to invest in the lives of leaders around the world the way I do today. I cannot stress the importance of learning from other leaders for your life and ministry. Small Group Network creates the ideal opportunity for you, as a leader in small group ministry, to grow and make a greater impact than you would have if you had tried to go at it alone.”
- John C. Maxwell Author, Speaker and Founder - INJOY Stewardship Services and EQUIP
“Small Group ministries in churches are facing an uphill battle to establish a new leadership culture in organizations where there is a lot of tradition and too little familiarity with the new skill sets needed for success. Small group ministries require moving lay leaders to new levels of caring. That takes energy and continual coaching. The Small Group Network helps to resupply small groups pastors with the insights and passion required to make a difference.”
- Carl George
"It’s easy to feel isolated in small group ministry. It’s easy to get bogged down with the issues you’re facing, the problems you’re tackling, and the hurdles you just can’t seem to clear. That’s why I love the Small Group Network. It’s a group of folks who are working in the trenches of group life, getting together for encouragement, sharing resources, and building relationships. The Small Group Network is an answer to a lot of the problems that small group pastors face."
-Bill Donahue – Associate Professor at Trinity Seminary in Deerfield, IL
“I grew up in northern California in a little town called Redwood Valley. Just north of us were the giant redwoods. Redwood trees have very shallow roots. They withstand the wind by spreading out and intertwining roots and they hold each other up. What a perfect picture of fellowship! We spread out, we intertwine, and we hold each other up. That's what the Small Group Network can do for you.”
-Rick Warren Author of The Purpose Driven Life and Founding Pastor of Saddleback Church
