Don’t Forget 1 More Gift! (Batteries not included)

“This is the one book that you simply must get into the hands of every one of your small group leaders.” – Rick Warren

Because we know you are always looking for great bargains to stretch your budget for your small group leaders; for a limited time only, we are thrilled to offer this special promotion of “Leading Small Groups with Purpose” as a gift to our network family! Find it HERE

So, you’ve been checking everything off your list, checking it twice, running around getting the best deals and now wondering, what do you do for year-end gifts for your leaders to show appreciation to them?

Just wanted to share a few ideas that we have done in the past for Christmas gifts for our leaders that I thought would be helpful! These ideas are great for all budgets too- so whether you want to send something in the mail or put on an extravagant event, the choice is yours! Each year, we also give different gifts based on our budget, so it doesn’t always have to be the same gift every year!

1 Appreciation Event

If you really want to create an opportunity for your leaders to connect with each other and you have the budget to do so, you could throw an appreciation event as their year-end gift. You can meet at a restaurant or host it at the church. Meet for lunch or for dinner! One year, we hosted it at one of our campuses, played a movie, and had a Winter Wonderland themed dessert. This is a great opportunity to thank everyone all in one room!

2 Creative Gifts

Be creative with the gifts. If your budget allows you to get an individual gift for everyone, consider getting decorated ornaments with your church’s name on them or power banks for their phones! Include something creative like, “Just wanted to send a charge your way and say thank you for investing!” Use the gift to affirm who they are as leaders!

3 Handwritten notes/cards

Some years, you may want to give everyone a card. This is special because you get to write out individual messages to everyone! One year, we wrote every single card by hand and included a special message telling each leader what we appreciated about them and how they blessed our groups ministry! (No templates :)).

4 Picture cards

Make it personal! Send out a picture card of you and your family or of your entire Small Group Point People team saying a huge thanks! This often times creates a great opportunity for them to feel ownership and gratitude for the people they serve with! Places like Costco, Walmart, or wherever you can print photos are great spots for this!

Remember, it’s not necessarily always about the gift itself. More importantly, it’s about the thoughtfulness, intentionality, and meaning behind the gift!
